BOXWISE is a social enterprise that helps young people build confidence, improve their health, wellbeing and maximize all the opportunities available for them. Boxing provides a structure for young people to channel their energies.
BOXWISE recently launched a pilot programme in South Africa in May 2022 in partnership with the PFC gym in Cape Town. This session was delivered by Boxwise Embassador and WBA Female Super-Welterweight Title holder Hannah Rankin. This programme offers practical advice and progression routes to help its graduates enter employment or further education. Following one-to-one mentoring sessions, its previous graduates have gone on to complete vocational courses in personal training, catering, and boxing coaching. This programme does indeed help young people build foundations for a long and successful future.
Boxwise works with accredited England Boxing coaches in a safe and controlled environment, which remains out of reach for many young people in Britain today. They work with a plethora of organisations and community groups to identify those who will most benefit from the programme. They also work with schools, family or self -referrals.
Boxwise has a number of successful professional boxers as embassadors, including Buatsi, Laurnene Okolie and Ant Crolla. It is also a flagship programme of Nick Maugham Foundation, a philanthropic organisation founded by Nick Maughan.
