Mpumalanga Tourism Expo held its 4th Annual Event at the Riverside Mall in Mbombela. The aim of this event was to promote Domestic Tourism in South Africa and Mpumalanga.
The expo is catalyst for tourism growth and job creation in the province, It is also a vehicle for regional tourism integration in the spirit of the Triland agreement signed between Mpumalanga, Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Over 60 exhibitors including the Tourism KwaZulu-Natal and the Limpopo Tourism Agencies attended this year’s event. A speed marketing session was also included as part of the tourism expo to help enhance the Business-to-Business element.
Furthermore, 50 tourism students from various schools and colleges in the province got the opportunity to witness tourism in action.
The Mpumalanga Tourism Expo continues to be a good platform for the promotion and growth of tourism in the province, it will also continue to implement the Triland cross-border marketing initiative through the invitation of the Eswatini and Mozambican Tourism Authorities including their tour operators to exhibit in this annual event.
