Hyde Park Corner_Miniature Art Society Exhibition

The Miniature Art Society of South Africa (MASSA) has been an integral part of Hyde Park Corner’s art showcase for more than two decades, drawing collectors and art enthusiasts to appreciate the incredible skill and precision required for creating miniature art. With the addition of The Drawing Guild last year, the exhibition has grown even more diverse, attracting an even broader audience.

Continuing the tradition of supporting Hospice Wits, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to make a difference by purchasing a raffle ticket. Each ticket not only supports Hospice’s valuable work but also stands a chance of winning an original miniature painting by award-winning artist Janine Fanucchi.

“Hyde Park Corner is delighted to once again host this exceptional exhibition, which not only brings world-class miniature and dry medium art to our community but also supports Hospice Wits and the amazing work they do,” says Hyde Park Corner’s General Manager, Bharathi Kawal. “It’s wonderful to see how this event has grown and evolved, offering visitors a unique blend of artistic talent and philanthropy. We look forward to welcoming everyone for yet another delightful experience.”

Hyde Park Corner’s support for the arts is longstanding. In 2016, the centre proudly hosted the World Federation of Miniatures exhibition, welcoming artists from around the world to showcase their work. Karyn Wiggill from MASSA reflects, “We were exceptionally proud to host the World Federation of Miniatures in this elegant centre, where artists from all over the world joined MASSA. Since last year, it has been a great pleasure to expand our annual exhibition when The Drawing Guild joined us in the Centre Court for a successful showcase of outstanding professional drawings and miniatures to the public.”

With free entry to the exhibition, everyone is welcome to come and explore the rich diversity of artistic expression on display and support a cause that makes a meaningful impact in the community.
