The weekend of September 20th and 21st was nothing short of electric as the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival returned in full force, bigger, bolder, and more unforgettable than ever. Held at the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, this two-day celebration of music, food, and culture once again reminded fans why it’s one of South Africa’s most anticipated events.

Saturday kicked off with the sweet scent of spice, smoke, and freshly made street food wafting through the air. The food market was a cultural melting pot, an explosion of flavour, colour, and creativity. From gourmet African-fusion dishes to global street eats, every corner of the venue served up something delicious. Long lines didn’t faze the foodies, they knew it was worth the wait.
As people explored the market, the energy began to build around the main stage. The crowd slowly grew into a sea of festivalgoers, picnic blankets, and selfie moments. Local acts lit up the early afternoon with soulful, high-energy performances that got hands clapping and feet moving.

As the evening set in, top music acts took over the stage fueling a wave of excitement. Thousands sang along, hands raised, joy radiating across the venue. It was one of those goosebump moments, where music becomes memory, and strangers turn into one big choir under the night sky.
If Saturday was the starter, Sunday was the soulful main course. The energy shifted but didn’t dip as the vibe leaned into groove, culture, and community. Families, friends, and seasoned festival lovers strolled in with their shades on and hearts open, ready for round two.
The food stalls remained a highlight, with chefs and food artisans bringing their A-game. Think flame-grilled meats, vegan delights, cocktails crafted like artwork, and desserts that looked almost too good to eat.

On stage, top musicians took turns proving why South African music is a force on any global stage. The audience was locked in singing, dancing, vibing. Whether it was a nostalgic classic or a fresh anthem, the crowd knew every word, and the artists fed off that energy. The lineup also included international artists, adding a vibrant mix that highlighted the festival’s global appeal while celebrating local talent.
As the sun dipped and the final acts wrapped up, the festival ended not with a farewell but with a feeling. One of joy, connection, pride, and shared experience.
The 2025 edition of DStv Delicious wasn’t just a weekend out, it was a cultural experience. It was about good music, great food, and even better company. It was about seeing yourself reflected on stage, in the flavours, and in the stories being told.
And for everyone who was lucky enough to be there, it was a reminder that when food meets music, and community meets creativity, something truly magical happens.
