
President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his 2026 New Year Message, reflecting on the challenges faced by many South Africans while reaffirming government’s commitment to addressing unemployment, poverty, crime and service delivery challenges.
He highlighted encouraging progress in economic recovery, job creation, infrastructure investment, improved performance at state-owned enterprises, reduced load shedding and decisive action against corruption and crime. Emphasising unity, partnership and inclusive dialogue. The President called on all South Africans to move forward with renewed hope and confidence in building a safer, stronger and more prosperous nation.
