As South Africa chairs the G20 in 2025 under the theme “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability”, the continent is preparing to host the first-ever Glamping Expo in Africa, taking place from 20–21 June 2025 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.

This groundbreaking event will spotlight glamping—the fusion of glamour and camping—as a fast-growing, eco-conscious travel trend that aligns with the G20’s key priorities: climate action, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.

Tourism leaders, sustainability experts, and glamping innovators such as Faith Meyer, Frank De Lima, Jillian Blackbeard, and Siphelele Luthuli will headline the expo, which aims to position Africa as a global leader in regenerative and experiential tourism.
